Guess who’s gonna be at BIG WOW! ComicFest 2013 this weekend (May 18th & 19th) in San Jose, CA at table AA165?
Me!
I’ll have print issues of Just Another Sheep#1 for sale, Just Another Sheep T-shirts, and some other goodies! This is my first time tabling at a convention, and I couldn’t be more excited/nervous. So please come by and say, “howdy” to me. Plus, Stan the Man will be there to!
See you at the show,
-Mat!
You may have noticed we missed our Tuesday update two weeks in a row! We apologize to you all. We hate being late, especially when so many of you are amazing enough to pledge money to the donation bar. It’s not something we take lightly at all. We are so grateful for you all, and we promise to make it up to this rounds donate(rs?) in a big way.
Luckily, now we are back on track and should be for the foreseeable future. Page six may be a week and two days short, but I think it’s worth the wait. It marks the debut of one of the most important characters in Just Another Sheep (and quite possibly JD’s favorite to draw).
In other news here is a picture of two of my favorite people holding print copies of Just Another Sheep#1.

My favorite writer Brian K. Vaughn posing with a copy of Just Another Sheep#1

My Grandpa loves it! So it must be good, right?
Just Another Sheep #1 is now available in (stunningly beautiful) print form, just like a real comic! It can be purchased in at our online store for $5. If you’re lucky enough to be in the Bay Area it can currently be found at Mission Comicsin San Francisco, or Fantastic Comics in Berkeley.

Note it’s on top of “Sweet Tooth” and “Y The Lat Man”!

Here’s a picture of me (Mat) on cloud nine! I received 500 issues a few days ago. I’ve already almost sold a hundred! This baby might have to go to second print!
And …this is a very exciting and for me… I’ll be selling copies at Big WOW comicfest in San Jose May 18-19, 2013. I’ll be in artist alley at table AA165. Please come by and say, “Hi” if your at the con. This will be my first time tabling and I couldn’t be more excited to spread the good word on Just Another Sheep!
I’ve got all sorts of exciting Just Another Sheep news for you. But first, my apologizes for missing our Tuesday post for the first time ever. A combination of ECCC prepping, and some unexpected travel slowed us down a bit, but now we’re all caught up!
CON NEWS: Speaking of ECCC, nearly everyone from Just Another Sheep (except me) will be at the con. Sadly, I have to sit this one out. Jon Cairns will be in artists alley at table M-21 spreading the word on his webcomic Alpha Flag. Also, make sure to visit JD Smith, he too will be at table M-21 in artists alley. Ed Brisson will be at the con as well, he’ll be at the almighty Image Comics table 1110.
MERCH NEWS: Finally! We have a high resolution PDF. of Just Another Sheep #1 available for instant download at our web store for just $1.50! And for just a little more, we have a special edition PDF. of Just Another Sheep #1 featuring 12 pages of extra features at just $2.50. This special edition is for all you, “why buy what I can kind of get for free?” people. It includes a bunch of extras not found on this site, like a sneak peek at issue 2, an alternate cover, panel by panel breakdowns and more!
DONATION NEWS: Our donation bar has slowed down quite a bit in the last few weeks, but now is the perfect time to donate. We’re only $29 short of an extra update– (I know you all want to get to reading chapter two faster!) Now, the largest donation will not only get a Just Another T-Shirt, they’ll also get a sketch from JD Smith himself of any character they like, besides that everyone who donates will get an exclusive “behind the scenes” email (and our eternal thanks.)
SAD/HAPPY NEWS: With issue 2 Paul John Little will be taking over coloring duties from Jon Cairns. While we hate to see Jon go, but he’s simply too busy these days with other amazing projects like his webcomic Alpha Flag. Jon will continue working with us coloring covers and doing some design work. Paul is a true pro, and we’re absolutely thrilled to have him on board. Some of his most recent projects include…Five Weapons (Shadowline/Image) I Love Trouble (Image Comics) No Place Like Home (Image Comics). We’re sure that you’ll love his work, because it looks freaking amazing.
That’s all for now–Spread the word! Ewe herd?
-Mat
